This summer I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lovely new yoga teacher in our area. She’s got a great vibe and a naturally soothing voice (perfect for shavasana guided meditations, I’m sure). I asked her to introduce herself here on the guide and to share more about where you can experience her fresh teaching perspective.
About Liri & Freedohm Yoga in the Catskills
My name is Liridona Duraku, Liri for short. I just moved to Sullivan County from Brooklyn, NY to live a self sustaining natural life. Currently I am in the process of getting a small farm with my amazing Chef boyfriend. I am a certified Yoga Instructor . I did my certification in Rishikesh , India, one of the most magical places on the planet. I studied predominately Ashtanga and Hatha but there was also some Yin, Vinyasa and Nidra Yoga mixed in. My philosophy is breathe. We often complicated so much in our lives when we need to be simplifying. The more we simplify the closer we get to inner peace and freedom. I follow the yamas and niyamas, I believe deeply in the healing powers of meditation, yoga and chanting. I am also an artist and writer. I have three lovely rescue dogs who I love more than anything. I invite you all to join me in class!
